President Ruto under Siege after what Gachagua allies threatened to do.

President William Ruto has finds himself in a challenging position as lawmakers aligned with his Deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, threaten to switch sides and oppose the Finance Bill 2024.

According to reports in Tuesday’s Standard publication, Gachagua’s allies are adamant about rejecting the punitive finance bill.

Expressing their discontent, these MPs argue that the bill contradicts the principles they campaigned for and would impose undue hardship on the common citizen.

Their decision to block the bill serves as a warning to President Ruto’s administration amid allegations of sidelining his deputy.

In their efforts, the lawmakers have rallied around a common theme targeting President William Ruto, while also seeking expert guidance to decipher the intricacies of the bill.

Concurrently, the opposition has vehemently criticized the bill, labeling it as oppressive.

Mr. Atandi, while addressing a gathering at Mahola Primary School during a project launch, lamented the suffering experienced under President William Ruto’s leadership.

He emphasized the adverse impact of the Finance Bill 2024, asserting that its passage would only exacerbate the plight of the people.

He also vowed to lead a demonstration against the government if the bill is imposed.

He further criticized the alleged compromise of many MPs, accusing them of being easily swayed by financial incentives.

The recent case involving Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi’s impeachment motion highlighted the perceived corruption within parliamentary circles, despite the select committee ultimately finding the allegations unsubstantiated.
