Five Police officers and four teachers hospitalized after an accident in Banisa, Mandera

MANDERA: Five police officers and four teachers are currently receiving treatment at Banisa Sub-County Hospital in Mandera County following their involvement in a vehicular accident.

According to a police incident report filed at Banisa Police Station, the vehicle they were traveling in, heading towards Guba, experienced mechanical issues before veering off the road.

“Police officers from Banisa Police Station rushed to the scene and determined that the police motor vehicle, traveling from Banisa towards Guba, encountered a mechanical failure near the Armamo area. The vehicle struck a pothole, causing both the right front and rear tires to burst. Consequently, the driver lost control, leading to the vehicle veering off and rolling onto its left side,” stated the police report.

The damaged vehicle has been towed to Banisa Police Station pending inspection.
