Joe Ageyo, Linus Kaikai, and Erick Latif have become the favorites of Generation Z after hosting a robust show at State House addressing the state of the nation.
Initially, when the online poster featuring the trio emerged, many, especially the youth, were skeptical about whether they would have the courage to ask President William Ruto tough questions. However, they proved their mettle.
The skepticism extended to some Kenyans online advising the public to instead focus on another platform where there was a heated discussion.
In particular, Canadian-based lawyer Miguna Miguna criticized the trio, accusing them of being influenced by the state to manipulate the ongoing national narrative.
He even urged Kenyans on the other platform to unfollow the trio.
“Revolutionary Patriots, Gen-Zs and Millennials, we will be on X Space TODAY, Sunday, June 30, 2024, from 6PM. #Boycott this @StateHouseKenya propaganda forum. Unfollow @LinusKaikai, @jageyo and @EricLatiff who have been RECRUITED by Zakayo to cause confusion, propagate his LIES,” posted Dr Miguna on his X handle hours before the show.
Hours later after the three seasoned journalist impressed Kenyans on how they asked questions, Miguna changed the tune and heaped praises.
“I’m proud of the trio for exposing the animal. He tried to use you to divert attention from our @X Space, but you did a superb job. Next time, don’t allow him to use you,” posted Dr Miguna on the same X handle.
Kenyans online have also stepped in to congratulate the trio, here are some of their comments.
TL Elder, posted; It’s important to tell Linus Kaikai, Joe Ageyo and Eric Latiff THANK YOU for being honest with President Ruto. I was very skeptical of this exercise but it’s clear that they went to State House with the interests of the Kenyan people at heart.
Cornelius K. Ronoh wrote, Before the interview with Zakayo, we had underrated Linus Kaikai. He deserves our shoutout for doing the Lord’s work.
Adelle Onyango on her part posted; Eh thank you Linus for interrupting his campaign speech! Kila saa ni digital jobs digital jobs! #RutoMustGo
I am sorry Linus Kaikai, we were not familiar with your game!
