K24 TV reporter, Catherine Wanjeri, shot by police in Nakuru

Mediamax reporter Catherine Wanjeri was shot by police while covering demonstrations in Nakuru.

Despite wearing a brown jacket clearly labeled “PRESS,” she was shot and fell to the ground in pain. She was with other journalists covering the protests.

Catherine was rushed to Valley Hospital with a gunshot wound in her left thigh.

The demonstrations, organized by the youth known as Gen-Zs, were held in many parts of the country. They are calling on the Kenya Kwanza government to implement reforms and end corruption.
