Shocking results from post mortem conducted on Kware bodies, Johansen Oduor

Dr Johansen Oduor, Kenya’s Chief Government Pathologist, has released initial findings from the investigation into the tragic deaths at the Kware dumpsite in Nairobi.

Dr. Oduor, who addressed the media for the first time since the shocking discovery, shared grim details about the condition of the recovered bodies and the injuries inflicted on the victims.

Postmortem examinations, which started on yesterday, have uncovered evidence of extreme violence.

“One victim was gruesomely dismembered, with mutilation concentrated around the lower abdomen, indicating a deliberate and brutal assault with a sharp object. Another victim suffered a fatal blunt force head injury, causing excessive bleeding,” noted Dr Oduor.

Further, he emphasized the brutality of the crimes and noted that the examination process will continue, with additional bodies to be evaluated starting July 17th.

“X-rays will be used to locate missing body parts, crucial for determining the total number of victims and the precise causes of death,” he added.

He also distinguished these recent deaths from previous cases, like that of Rita Waeni, which involved extensive dismemberment of body parts, including separate legs and trunk, unlike the current investigation’s findings.
