Police in Siaya searching for suspects who strangled a woman and dumped the body in a farm

Police in Alego Usonga are on the hunt for suspects involved in the cold-blooded murder of a woman whose body was discovered in a farm in Ng’iya.

The victim, identified as 27-year-old Josephine Aluoch Odok from Uriri village in Gem-Yala sub-county, is believed to have been strangled by unknown assailants.

According to a police incident report seen by Kondele, officers found the body with torn clothes.

“Officers from Kogelo police station and DCI Siaya visited the scene at Sigana B village, Mur-Ng’iya sub-location within South East Alego location, north of the station, and found the lifeless body covered with a torn skirt, blouse, and a leso,” stated the report.

Despite the torn clothing, the body had no other visible physical injuries.

The scene was processed and documented by the police, and the body was moved to Siaya County Referral Morgue awaiting autopsy.
