“Disgusting performance!” former Manchester star Gary Neville fumes after 3-0 thrash

OLD TRAFFORD: Manchester United’s today’s performance left fans and pundits in shock, with club legend Gary Neville calling their 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham “absolutely disgusting.”

Neville, currently a Sky Sports pundit, didn’t hold back in his criticism, emphasizing the dire state of the team under manager Erik ten Hag.

“The first half was as bad as it gets,” said Neville during Sky Sports’ commentary of the game.

“This is a shocking day, a sobering day. This is a really bad day for Ten Hag. It’s one of the worst performances I have seen under Ten Hag, and that is saying something. It is really bad.”

After six games in the new season, Manchester United are gasping for breath in 12th place in the league, with less than half the points of leaders Liverpool.

Neville later concluded: “Today has shocked me about how low they have gone.”

Speaking to the BBC after the match, Erik ten Hag said:

“To concede a goal after two or three minutes like that did something to our belief. It was totally unnecessary. To concede a goal like this—the center-half stepping in and passing the whole team over the right side and then the winger tapping in at the far post—is the same mistake as in the midweek game against Twente. It should have been stopped in the first moment.”
