A fatal road accident at Mariakani, Maji ya Chumvi has claimed the lives of two tourists of Holland nationality, leaving others nursing serious injuries.

The 7:20 a.m accident involved a trailer of Jihad freighter and a tourists vehicle heading towards Nairobi.

Two tourists of Holland nationality, One driver One tour guide have all been taken to the Mariakani Hospital where they are receiving treatment.

The accident that happened past Mariakani Weighbridge involved a series of vehicles, Tour Van, Police Landcruiser, New Import Truck Trailer.

Police are at the scene combing the area to ascertain what could have caused the fatal accident.
