Two Suspects Arrested in Coast Region Drug Bust

Two suspected drug traffickers have been arrested following an early morning raid conducted by anti-narcotics detectives in the Coast region.

The operation took place at a homestead in Boa, Kombani area, where authorities seized 12 sacks of marijuana suspected to be awaiting distribution.

The two suspects, Kassim Omar Konerwa (34) and Issa Omar Konerwa (24), were taken into custody and are expected to be arraigned in court.

The arrests come amid heightened operations by anti-drug detectives aimed at curbing drug trafficking and abuse in the region.

Authorities have intensified efforts to dismantle drug networks, targeting major suppliers and distributors to combat the rising narcotics menace that has plagued the area in the past.
