Hussein Mohamed’s bodyguard on spot for killing a man in Kawangware

Police in Nairobi are investigating an incident where a police officer attached to the Statehouse spokesman, Hussein Mohamed shot and killed a man.

Mohamed Yusuf Keynan, the bodyguard to Mr Hussein, is reported to have shot a man identified as Amos Langat yesterday after a misunderstanding at a joint where they played billiards (pool).

The ugly incident that unfolded at Amboseli in Kawangware slums let one person dead.

According to Veronica Mumbi, a resident who witnessed the whole altercation said that one of the brothers pleaded with Mr Keynan to forgive the deceased without success,

“After the misunderstanding, one of the brothers pleaded with him to forgive him. He did not, instead he shot him,” she said.

Aaron Kipkorir, brother of the deceased, lamented the incident saying the officer ought not to have killed his brother.

After shooting the victim, Mr Keynan proceeded to Muthangari Police Station where he surrendered his fire arm having fired seven rounds of ammunition.
