HOMA BAY TOWN: A somber incident marred the ODM party grassroots elections in Homa Bay Town sub-county today, as a grisly road accident at Arujo bridge claimed the lives of two individuals.

The collision, involving a motorcycle and an oncoming truck, also left one person with serious injuries.

Eyewitnesses reported that the motorcycle was carrying a driver and two pillion passengers, all identified as ODM party supporters.

According to a local resident who preferred to remain anonymous, “They were on their way to Kabunde Social Hall, the venue for the ODM grassroots elections, when the tragic accident occurred.”

The truck involved in the collision was reportedly attempting to overtake another vehicle when it collided head-on with the motorcycle.

The impact resulted in the immediate death of one person at the scene. The second victim succumbed to their injuries while receiving treatment at Homa Bay Teaching and Referral Hospital. The third individual remains hospitalized in critical condition.
