Police Seize Bhang Worth KSh 4.7 Million in Abandoned Car

KAKAMEGA: Police in Kakamega have recovered bhang with an estimated street value of KSh 4.77 million from an abandoned vehicle along the Kakamega–Mumias Road.

The black Toyota Fielder was found on August 12, 2025, by National Police Service officers on patrol.

A search of the car revealed seven bags of bhang weighing 159.15 kilograms.

The vehicle was towed to Kakamega Police Station, where it is being held as investigations continue to trace its owner.

The National Police Service said the seizure reflects its ongoing commitment to combating narcotics and other related crimes.
