Nyeri Police Arrest Man, Seize Hundreds of Stolen Electronics

NYERI: Nyeri police have arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of possessing stolen electronic devices.

The arrest came after officers from Nyeri Police Station, acting on an intelligence tip, raided a shop in Nyeri Township on Friday, September 19, 2025.

During the operation, police recovered 292 used mobile phones and four laptops.

The suspect was unable to explain how he acquired the items and was taken into custody at the Nyeri Police Station.

An inventory of the seized electronics has been created, and police are working to identify the rightful owners.

The National Police Service praised both the public and the officers for their vigilance and assured citizens that these crackdowns on criminal networks will continue.
