Governor Wanga sacks Deputy Magwanga as the CEC Agriculture after fall out

Homa Bay governor Gladys Wanga has fired her Deputy, Oyugi Magwanga as the County Executive Committee (CEC) in charge of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Development.

This is according to a circular seen by Kondele News and signed by Governor Wanga.

“I do hereby re-assign Mr Danish Onyango to serve as CEC in charge of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Development in acting capacity,” read the circular.

Initially, Magwanga served as a Deputy Governor and CEC.

His place has been taken over by Danish Onyango on an acting capacity, he is also serving as a Roads, Public Works, Transport and Infrastructure.

Dr Peter Ogolla, who has been serving as CEC Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development has been fired and his place taken by Joseph Mitito.

Magwanga’s goose was cooked immediately he led a campaign against Boyd Were in the just concluded by-elections in Kasipul Constituency; he threw his weight behind Philip Aroko.
