Beautiful Anyango Jabalo before controversy

Photographs of Anyango Jabalo in her youth have surfaced online, following her recent trending status for making controversial claims about the family of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.

Her allegations regarding the family of Kenya’s founding Vice President have sparked intense online debate, though the majority of netizens have dismissed her claims.

The viral images show that in her younger years, Anyango was a striking woman who captivated many during her time.

Other than the beauty that might have confused men, she was also an ardent supporter of President Daniel Moi and the KANU party.

In one of her interviews, Anyango claims that she was once a wife to the late Jaramogi before leaving the marriage to live with a wealthier Caucasian man.

However, these claims have been flatly rejected by Dr. Wenwa Akinyi, the sister of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

Anyango first stepped into the limelight during the burial of Beryl Odinga, Raila’s late sister, at the family’s ancestral home in Kang’o ka Jaramogi.

At the time, Anyango publicly castigated Siaya Senator Dr. Oburu Oginga, the head of the Jaramogi family, arguing that Beryl should have been buried at her husband’s home.

According to Luo tradition, a married woman whose dowry has been paid is considered a member of her husband’s household and should not be buried at her father’s home.

Dr. Oburu, however, dismissed this traditionalist stance, maintaining that the world has changed and that modern civilization has moved past such rigid customs.
