The suspects, identified as Morme Wario and Haron Muthuri, are currently being processed at the Marsabit Police Station ahead of their arraignment.

The investigation began after residents of Drib-Gombo alerted authorities to a disturbing find: a male foetus, estimated to be six months old, wrapped in clothing and abandoned in the village.

Detectives quickly identified Wario as a person of interest after neighbors noted she was no longer pregnant but had no child.

Upon interrogation, Wario reportedly confessed to being the mother and led officers to an unlicensed clinic where the procedure was performed.

At the facility, police apprehended Muthuri, who was allegedly operating without any medical registration.

During a search of the premises, officers recovered:Assorted prescription drugs, surgical tools, some of which were found stained with fresh blood.

Due to the nature of the procedure, Wario was first rushed to Marsabit Referral Hospital for urgent medical attention before being escorted to the police station.
