Three Kenya Defence Force (KDF) recruits died during training at the Defence Force Recruits Training School.

In a press release sent to the newsrooms yesterday, the KDF stated that the three developed medical complications and were attended to by the medical officers on site before they were transferred to Eldoret Teaching and Referral Hospital.

“The recruits developed complications while undergoing the regular endurance exercise. Immediate Medical assistance was administered by on site medical personnel, after which the affected recruits were evacuated to Eldoret Teaching and Referral Hospital,” stated the press release seen by Kondele News.

The statement further read, “A thorough investigation has been initiated in accordance with the military procedures to determine the surrounding incidence.”
