Homicide probe launched as 25-year-old trader hacked to death in Kilifi

Police in Ganze Sub-County have launched a manhunt for assailants who hacked a 25-year-old trader to death outside his shop early Saturday morning.

The victim, identified as Abdikarim Isaak Yunis, was found by neighbors at Gede Centre around 1:30am following a loud commotion.

According to responding officers, Yunis had sustained deep, severe cuts to his neck, abdomen, and right leg, indicating a highly violent, targeted assault.

No suspects have been arrested, and the body has been moved to the Kilifi County Referral Hospital mortuary pending an autopsy as detectives work to establish a motive.
