48 young women rescued in DCI crackdown on explicit content and exploitation rings

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have rescued 48 young women following coordinated raids in Ongata Rongai and Kiserian.

The operations, triggered by public tips, targeted suspected sexual exploitation and commercial explicit content production.

In one of the raids, officers stormed a house in Ongata Rongai’s Rimpa area believed to be an illicit production hub, rescuing 30 women aged between 19 and 27.

Officers searched the Rimpa residence and seized seven camera-fitted laptops along with other production gear.

The suspects were taken into custody at Ongata Rongai Police Station, where they are being held pending formal charges.

Meanwhile, a joint team from Kiserian and Rongai stations launched a parallel operation in neighboring Kiserian after receiving tips that young women were lured with false promises of domestic work before being trapped in sexual exploitation and forced prostitution.

Officers rescued 18 victims from the site and confiscated mobile phones, laptops, and related evidence.

All 18 women are currently under police protection.
