Detectives from the DCI Headquarters Operation Action Team (OAT) have apprehended three high-profile robbery suspects linked to a wave of violent crimes in Westlands and other areas of Nairobi.
The intelligence-led operation began in Kawangware along Ngina Road, where officers arrested Nimrod Khayeshe, alias “Buba,” following through investigative work.
Upon interrogation, Khayeshe led the team to his two accomplices, Vangelis Njungi (alias “Vangi”) and Patrick Kingato, who were taken into custody shortly after.
During the raids, detectives recovered a Retay Falcon pistol loaded with three rounds of 9mm ammunition, alongside two motorcycles suspected to have been used as getaway vehicles.
All three suspects remain in custody undergoing processing ahead of their court appearance, while the firearm and motorcycles have been secured as evidence.
