Radio journalist, Jiji Ja British, lights candle of hope to the elderly

Radio journalist and 2027 MCA hopeful Dancun Ojijo, popularly known as Jiji Jabritish of Radio Nam Lolwe FM, has launched his initiative ‘JAFWAMBO CARES FOR THE ELDERLY’ with the donation of 10 wheelchairs to seniors in Central Karachuonyo Ward.

The donation was done in collaboration with Jonathan Rays of Hope and Leiten AIC Church.
Jonathan Rays of Hope is led by philanthropist Carolyn Kisuge, who is also known for her work supporting children living with autism.

Speaking during the event, Ojijo said the program seeks to restore dignity and mobility to the elderly.
“Some came with walking sticks, others had lost hope of ever moving again. Today they left with wheelchairs and smiles. Through Jafwambo Cares for the Elderly, we commit to serve our seniors,” he said.

He went on, “This is just the beginning. The elderly persons are a blessing to any society. We shall move to all the parts within Central Karachuonyo Ward and outside, because this is the right thing to do.”
