Senator Ojienda lights a candle of hope in lives of traders after fire razed down their shops

BY OCHIENG CLINTON: The office of the Kisumu County Senator has commenced construction work to support traders who lost their workshops and property in a fire that razed a section of Kibuye Market.

The initiative aims to provide affected traders with new working spaces after the devastating fire destroyed several businesses and left many counting heavy losses.

Construction is already underway at the site, with the senator’s office taking proactive steps to help victims rebuild their enterprises and restore their livelihoods.

The fire incident destroyed workshops and goods, leaving numerous traders without a source of income.

The ongoing project is expected to provide modern facilities from which they can resume operations once completed.

This intervention comes as traders continue to recover from the disaster, answering widespread calls for support to help them rebuild their businesses.
