Time to be creative: Skiza Utamu campaign launched in Maseno

Fanta has launched a User-Generated Content (UGC) challenge at Maseno University, offering students and upcoming content creators a platform to showcase their creativity and win rewards.

Speaking during the activation, Fanta Influence Manager Sharon Rose Manyaro explained that the challenge is part of the broader “Sikizia Utamu” campaign and is open to students, aspiring creators, and anyone passionate about content creation.

Participants are required to visit www.fantasikiziautamu.africa, register, and post their content on social media for tracking.

Sharon noted that rewards will be based on the cumulative views a participant’s posts receive, encouraging students to produce as many videos as possible.

Fanta content creators Ronno and Nasieku interact with students during the launch of the Fanta “Sikizia Utamu” UGC Challenge at Maseno University.

The challenge runs from September 1 to October 31, with exciting prizes available for both individuals and groups.

Maseno University entertainment student leader and Maseno Events CEO, Arafat Imenta, hailed the activation as a resounding success.

He noted that Fanta’s presence gave students a valuable opportunity to interact, have fun, and learn about emerging opportunities.

Influencers Nasieku and Ronoo, who also attended the launch, reported a strong turnout and urged students to leverage the UGC challenge.

They encouraged participants to register online, create content, and compete for cash prizes either individually or as squads, noting that several participants have already won prizes.

Content creator Victor Omondi praised Fanta for providing exposure and helping nurture local talent, urging Maseno students to stay active and persevere in their creative journeys.

“Tumesikizia utamu,” Omondi remarked.

Echoing his sentiment, Tessy, a Maseno University student, expressed excitement about the activation, stating it provided the ideal platform to nurture her talent.

Fanta continues to invite more students and creators to participate by sharing content throughout the campaign period.
