Keiyo South Member of Parliament, Gideon Kimaiyo, has urged President William Ruto to reconsider reinstating former Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen.
In a tweet, the lawmaker argued that if other individuals were being reinstated, there was no reason to exclude others.
Kimaiyo highlighted that Murkomen had willingly relinquished his senatorial position to serve as CS in the Kenya Kwanza administration, similar to those who have been reinstated.
“Kama Kindiki, Duale, Alice Wahome & Soipan wamerudi, then KIPCHUMBA MURKOMEN lazima arudi. All of them relinquished their elective seats to join Cabinet. Either bring them all or leave them all,” read the post on X.
In the first bunch of the CS nominees, Mr Murkomen, who was in the kitchen cabinet is missing.
It is not clear the number of the former CSs who will be re-instated, however the move by president Ruto to re-instate others has infuriated Kenyans on social media especially the Gen Zs.
