Two men pleaded guilty in a Milimani Magistrate Court early today for dangerously riding in a car.
Peleg Masongo and Peter Igadwa Aggrey appeared before the court on April 23 and admitted their guilt. The duo was captured on video hanging precariously from the windows of a moving vehicle along a highway. The footage garnered thousands of views, prompting police to pursue the suspects.
Their reckless behavior is particularly concerning given the high incidence of accidents on Kenyan roads. Since January this year, over 1000 lives have been lost due to road crashes.
