Stolen Goats Recovered by Community and Police Team

A collaborative effort between the Samburu Peace Committee, local elders, and police has led to the successful recovery of 25 goats that were stolen from Kahuho Village on September 9, 2025.

The livestock was found on Sunday in the Mutara area and is currently being held at the Olmotonyi ASTU Camp. The goats will be returned to their owner once the handover process is complete.

The National Police Service praised the community’s role in the operation, noting that the strong partnership between the peace committee, elders, and security forces was crucial to the recovery.

A multi-agency security team is continuing its investigation to bring those responsible for the theft to justice.
