In a significant step towards peace in Elgeyo Marakwet County, ten illegal firearms and a cache of ammunition were voluntarily surrendered to security agencies in the Kerio Valley today.

The voluntary handover is a major success for the ongoing disarmament campaign aimed at improving safety in the region.
