Julius Kano Ndubi, the esteemed teacher and mentor of DP Rigathi Gachagua, passed away at the age of 75.
Mr. Ndubi was renowned as a strict disciplinarian who had taught Mr. Gachagua four decades ago.
The late educator had served as the Principal of Kianyaga High School, although he had long retired at the time of his demise.
Last year, Mr. Ndubi had the opportunity to visit the Deputy President at his office, where they engaged in a heartfelt conversation, reminiscing about days gone by.
In response to Mr. Ndubi’s passing, the DP urged people to cherish and remember their teachers and mentors always, emphasizing the profound impact they have on shaping destinies.
“Let’s appreciate our teachers and mentors who have played significant roles in shaping our destiny. I hold immense appreciation for all my teachers and celebrate them for their unwavering dedication and service. Teaching is indeed a noble profession and a calling,” remarked Mr. Gachagua during his meeting with the former educator.
It’s worth noting that Gachagua attended Kianyaga High School for his “O” levels and ‘A’ levels from 1978 to 1983, a period during which Mr. Ndubi left an indelible mark on his life.
