Four vehicles torched by protestors in Mombasa

Angry protests erupted early today in Mombasa town, with demonstrators setting ablaze four vehicles in a scene that unfolded under the hashtag #occupyeverywhere, witnessed in various parts of the country.

Despite initial peaceful demonstrations by youths along the streets, tensions escalated when police attempted to disperse the crowd with tear gas.

The situation quickly deteriorated as protestors reacted by setting fire to four parked vehicles.

Although a fire engine arrived on the scene, it was unable to save the vehicles, which were reduced to ashes by the time it arrived.
