Gen Z youths revisited Timba XO, a restaurant owned by Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, and set it ablaze just days after vandalizing and looting it.
The enraged youths arrived at the location and wasted no time in starting the fire.
Earlier, the lawmaker had announced his decision not to engage in active politics for two years.
Approximately 200 employees had been sent home to facilitate renovations at the restaurant.
With the facility now burned down, the lawmaker faces the challenge of rebuilding from scratch.
In addition to Timba XO, protestors also set fire to several vehicles in Eldoret and Mombasa.
