Duncan Onyango to be remanded for 30 days, court rules

A magistrate court sitting in Siaya has granted police 30 days to detain Duncan Onyango 48 as investigations continue.

Mr Onyango is the sixth suspect in the ongoing murder probe of the former Wells Fargo HR director Willis Ayieko who was buried last on November 9.

Siaya magistrate Benjamin Limo granted the police the 30 days they prayed for to detain the suspect.

Mr Onyango was arrested last week Thursday in Bondo sub-county where he had been hiding.

Preliminary investigations and forensic analysis have placed Mr Onyango at the scene where the late Ayieko was murdered and body dumped.

The police also believe that his house located at Luanda Doho along the border of Siaya and Kakamega counties.
