Star Journalist Moses Ogada Elected to Lead Parliamentary Reporters

Moses Ogada Aliwa of the Star Newspaper has been elected as the new chairman of the Kenya Parliamentary Journalists Association.

He was announced the winner after defeating his colleague from the Daily Nation, David Mwere, who received 14 votes against Ogada’s 32 votes.

The association serves as a crucial link between parliamentary reporters and the leadership of parliament.

In his acceptance speech, Ogada expressed his privilege to be at the helm of the organization.

Other leaders were also elected to serve in various capacities. Irene Mwangi from Capital FM was elected Vice-Chairperson, while Edwin Obuya from Radio Citizen and Collins Omulo from the Nation were elected as Secretary-General and Deputy Secretary-General, respectively.

Liz Mutuku of TV 47 will be in charge of the association’s finances as Treasurer. Emanuel Too of Citizen TV and Josephat Thiong’o from the Standard will serve as Organizing Secretary and Liaison Officer.
