Police in Dandora looking for a youth who fatally stabbed another

NAIROBI: Police and the DCI officers have launched a manhunt for an 18-year-old suspect accused of the fatal stabbing of a fellow teenager in Nairobi’s Dandora area.

According to police, the attack took place shortly after midnight on Wednesday, July 22, near the gate of Canaan Court in the Canaan area.

he incident was formally reported to Dandora Police Station by the victim’s mother, who stated that her son had been stabbed in the chest along the road near the residential court.

Responding police officers established that the victim, 18-year-old Kelvin Karanja Wangari, was stabbed in the chest by another 18-year-old under circumstances that remain under investigation.

The injured teenager was rushed to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital, where he tragically passed away while undergoing treatment.

The suspect fled the scene immediately after the attack, escaping towards Korogocho Bridge, and remains at large.

Meanwhile, the victim’s body has been preserved at the Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital mortuary pending a post-mortem examination.
