Two Kenyan men wanted for murder and motorcycle theft have been arrested in Uganda following a violent cross-border crime spree.
The suspects, both residents of Butula Constituency in Busia County, allegedly killed a boda boda rider in Bujumba before fleeing across the border on his stolen motorcycle.
Shortly after entering Uganda, they attacked a second rider, leaving him critically injured before stealing his motorcycle as well.
Ugandan authorities apprehended two suspects and recovered the Kenyan motorcycle, while efforts to locate the second bike continue.
The suspects face criminal charges in Uganda for the local assault and theft, after which they will be extradited to Kenya to face murder and robbery charges for the Bujumba killing.
