Mombasa couple who recorded sex content with daughter arrested

Mombasa: A joint operation by detectives from the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit (AHTCPU) and DCI Changamwe has led to the arrest of two suspects in Mombasa in connection with the alleged exploitation and online solicitation of minors.

Acting on crucial intelligence, officers apprehended 41-year-old Regina Kauli Munyoki. Investigations reveal Ms Munyoki was allegedly using the dating site “AfroIntroductions,” operated by Cupid Media, to market her own three children—aged 13, 7, and 4 (two girls and one boy)—for sexual exploitation.

Police reported that Regina was generating income by sharing sexually explicit content involving her children and offering them to interested clients in exchange for money.

The horrifying details of the case further exposed the alleged involvement of the children’s father.

It was disturbingly established that 52-year-old Isaiah Owala Gura, Munyoki’s husband, had reportedly been repeatedly defiling their 13-year-old daughter since she was just 11 years old.

Both Regina Kauli Munyoki and Isaiah Owala Gura have since been arraigned before the Mombasa Law Courts.

Regina has been granted a bond of Sh1 million, with two sureties of the same amount. Isaiah, however, remains in custody at Shanzu Prisons and is awaiting a bond ruling scheduled for tomorrow, July 15, 2025.
