Police Seize 8kg of Suspected Bhang in Kawangware

KAWANGWARE: Police officers in Nairobi have arrested a man found in possession of 8 kilogrammes of suspected cannabis sativa during a patrol in Kawangware.

The National Police Service said officers attached to Muthangari Police Station were on routine patrol in the Kawangware 56 area on Thursday, 21 August 2025, when they received a tip-off from a member of the public.

The suspect was reportedly spotted at the main gate of Gatina Primary School carrying two bags. Upon searching the luggage, police discovered the narcotics.

The man was taken into custody and booked at Muthangari Police Station pending arraignment. Police said the exhibits had been processed and forwarded to the Government Chemist for forensic analysis.
