“I’m not a sadist:” Content creator 2Mbili hits back at Oga Obinna over ‘Vurugu Season 2’ claims

Popular content creator Andrew Duncan Oduor, better known as 2Mbili, has fiercely fired back at comedian and media personality Steve Thompson Magana, alias Oga Obinna, over allegations regarding the upcoming Vurugu Season 2 boxing match.

The exchange follows claims by Obinna that 2Mbili allegedly convinced popular contender Majembe to pull out of the highly anticipated exhibition match, which is slated to take place in a fortnight.

In a video posted on his YouTube channel, a visibly irritated 2Mbili refuted the rumors, maintaining that he has no hand in Majembe’s decisions and would never celebrate another person’s downfall.

“I want to make it clear that I have not convinced Majembe (Potifas Odipo) to pull out of Vurugu Season 2. In fact, I did not even know that he had pulled out,” 2Mbili clarified.

He further extended an olive branch to Obinna, calling for mutual respect given their shared journeys in the industry.

“I am not the kind of person who wants to see my brother fall. I don’t know about you, but I respect you as someone who has gone through it all on the streets,” he added.

“As my brother, I want you to know that your win has always been my win. I am always celebrating your achievements.”

Vurugu Season 1 captured nationwide attention when it featured amateur boxers Majembe and Mbavu Destroyer (Ferdinand Omondi), a bout that ended in a dramatic knockout victory for Majembe.

The viral success of the debut event attracted significant corporate sponsorship and high-profile political figures.

Pivoting from boxing to bodybuilding, Vurugu Season 2 is set to feature a heavyweight showdown between Gachau Njoroge and US-based Kenyan bodybuilder Phidfil Castro (Fil).
