Police holding up a man for killing another with an arrow

Kilgoris: Police in Narok are holding a suspect who allegedly shot his friend with an arrow, resulting in the friend’s death. The incident occurred after a brawl at a circumcision ceremony.

According to a police incident report recorded at Junction Patrol base, the deceased, identified as Alex Sanare, 26, was pronounced dead upon arrival at a hospital.

The tragic event unfolded after Alex Sanare and his friend Isaiah Korir, 30, had a disagreement. The argument escalated, leading Isaiah Korir to retrieve a weapon.

“While they were attending a traditional circumcision ceremony at the home of Damaris, a disagreement ensued between Alex Sanare, aged 26, now deceased, and Isaiah Korir, aged 30. The suspect rushed to his home, armed himself with an arrow, and shot Alex Sanare in the neck before escaping,” the report read.

The victim was rushed to Junction Private Clinic but later died while undergoing treatment.

The body of Alex Sanare was taken to Kilgoris Level Four Mortuary, where it awaits a post-mortem examination.

The police are investigating the incident as they hold the suspect in custody.
