Sifuna and Orengo forced to flee as Pro-Ruto Chants Rock Ugunja

Senator Edwin Sifuna and Governor James Orengo were forced to cut short their speeches in Ugunja after being drowned out by chants of “Two Term!” for President William Ruto.

The political heavyweights, who were en route to a rally in Busia, beat a hasty retreat as a growing faction of local youth and leaders declared their allegiance to the Kenya Kwanza government.

The youths who were hostile demanded the team to exit Ugunja accusing them of orchestrating regions exit from the Kenya Kwanza government.

Ugunja constituency is a stronghold of the current Energy boss, Opiyo Wandayi.

The “splinter” sentiment was led by voices like Henry Owino, who criticized Sifuna led team for being out of touch.

“Nyanza must remain steadfast in this government; it’s the inheritance Baba Raila Odinga left us,” Owino stated, pointing to the region’s need for development over perpetual opposition.
